Duration & Formats
-
5-day course — common for people with little or no prior instructor experience.
-
3-day or shorter course — sometimes available for experienced instructors with proof of prior experience.
-
In-company delivery — some organisations offer training at your workplace.
Note: Formats may include classroom, blended classroom/e-learning components (depending on provider).
DVSA Approval vs Trainer Training
√ Driver CPC periodic courses must be approved by the Driver & Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA).
✘ A Trainer course by itself does not mean you automatically can offer DVSA-approved courses — you normally need a training centre approval or work with an approved provider.
If you’re planning to run your own approved Driver CPC courses, you also need to meet DVSA centre approval requirements.
